Customer Review: A decent maker despite what others say.

Where do I start. After reading all the scathing reviews I approached this coffee maker with a open mind. First off I must say I received this coffee maker as a anniversary gift from my employer.
Still I am a somewhat snobish coffee drinker. I use only whole beans, some of my favorites are several varities of Trader Joes, some custom roasts from Old Bisbee Roasters, but I can appreciate 8 O'Clock Red Bag if it is ground real fine.
My bought and paid for coffee maker is a Bunn GRX-B which makes excellent coffee that is never bitter, no matter what you brew in it. It truly lets the distinct essences of individual coffee's come through.
This brewer is used at my Girlfriends house. I have had this brewer about a month, it has never leaked, the carafe has not put any liquid where it was not intended to be. The setup was super easy. I appreciate that it has a water filter built in. After a few months I will probably remove as I use filtered water, and see no need for it.
It is an attractive maker that matches any decor. The damped lid is a nice touch of class. The coffee it makes is quite good despite it longish brewing times. Mostly I have used Seattle's Best Henry's Blend in it, and it has not come out bitter. About the only thing I would agree with in the lousy reviews, is that the area to pour in the water is small and slightly blocked off by the lid. I just put a little more water in the carafe and pour out the extra in the sink, after putting in the desired amount.
I would like to rate this coffee maker 4.5 stars with the small deduction for the small fill area. If the maker proves unreliable I will adjust my rating.
